Family Memory Verse:

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven"
Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV

Cornerstone Bible Church Tucson - Jesus Christ and God's Word First

We invite you to join us in establishing firm foundations of faith and building God's Word into our hearts, minds, souls, and strength. We invite all who are dedicated to putting Jesus Christ and God's Word first in our lives and families. Those who desire to grow strong, healthy Biblical Christian families and who seek to be disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ.

Cornerstone is a "family friendly" Christian Church

established for the purpose of fulfilling the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20), “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”.

We have chosen the name Cornerstone because of the centrality of Jesus Christ and the Word of God in every aspect of our lives (1 Peter 2:6-8)

We believe that the family is our primary area of evangelism and teaching of God's Word, since we spend the majority of our time raising up the children that God has blessed us with. And secondly, that by raising Godly offspring we can influence others around us for God as they see the work of God in us.

Weekly Foundations of Faith

We believe that everyone should have a firm and established foundation of faith on which to build your walk with God and Jesus Christ. To that end we have started this weekly focus upon the Westminster Shorter Catechism.

By focusing upon one question and one answer per week from the WSC, we believe that you will establish yourself deeply into the roots and values of our Christian heritage and traditions.

Last Weeks Catechism:

Westminster Catechism #105:

Q. 105. What do we pray for in the fifth petition?

A. In the fifth petition, which is, And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, we pray that God, for Christ’s sake, would freely pardon all our sins;[221] which we are the rather encouraged to ask, because by His grace we are enabled from the heart to forgive others.[222]

This Weeks Catechism:

Westminster Catechism #106:

Q. 106. What do we pray for in the sixth petition?

A. In the sixth petition, which is, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, we pray that God would either keep us from being tempted to sin,[223] or support and deliver us when we are tempted.[224]
